Hawthorn Tree

Sue Aston is a classically trained and very accomplished violinist from Cornwall. Sue uses the Cornish landscape as inspiration for many of her songs and has already released two of her own successful albums. This multi talented composer and professional violinist has appeared on classical, folk and contemporary recordings on radio and television, both nationally and internationally.

Life Video Productions have been working with Sue to create a variety of different videos for the launch of her new DVD. The first song on Sue’s list was a solo piece called ‘Hawthorn Tree’. With the Cornish landscape being such a huge part of Sue’s inspiration, it was very important that we captured the beauty of Cornwall in these videos. Hawthorn tree was shot in two very different locations. The first location being St Mary’s church in Penzance where we had the entire church to ourselves for the morning (thanks to St Mary’s church). The second location was at the base of Trencrom Hill where there is a beautiful Hawthorn tree. Sue’s new album and DVD will be released later this year but in the meantime, here are a few stills from the production.
